Pedro Lopes Oliveira

Biography – Born in Ovar, February 22nd, 1978.
From a very early age he shows a strong interest in photography. Back in 2004, he begins to take this hobby more seriously. Since then, collaborations on several areas of photography (fashion, news events, nature photography, sports) appear. Some individual exhibitions also take place.
In early 2007, the passion for photography leaves no room to perform another activity, but devote himself entirely to this art.
Since then, and as a freelance photographer, he has continued to develop and refine techniques and aesthetics that define his path professionally and artistically.

David Guimarães

Biography – David Guimarães was born in Vagos in 1981. He quickly became aware of the immense natural wealth of his hometown. In a simple and unpretentious way, he began a journey of discovery of the beings with whom we share our world and also of the natural cycles that make our planet a living entity.
This fascination with the kaleidoscopy of life is fueled by the abundance of wildlife in the vicinity of his home. Driven by this passion, at the age of 12 he acquired his first field guide to the birds of Portugal and Europe, and equipped with this and the inevitable pair of binoculars, he began birdwatching, thus taking the first steps on a path that would lead him to nature photography, after a brief foray into illustration. Touched and driven by the curiosity that has always guided him, he photographically explores every corner of the living world that surrounds us. Birds, reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates were part of his early works, but upon realizing the enormous potential of nature photography as a form of artistic expression, he was propelled towards more personal and interpretive images of nature and its inhabitants. Macro photography became his home. During this process, he never forgot the role he could and can individually play in the conservation of this heritage that he found so precious to discover, participating in fieldwork, censuses, cleanups, etc., and finally, after an invitation from friends, co-founding a nature conservation association in his hometown, Vagos.
He has been distinguished in several national nature photography competitions. He is the co-author of the book/project “A Serra Encantada” (The Enchanted Mountain Range), a photographic essay on the seasonality of the national Atlantic mountains, portraying one of its most illustrious representatives: the Serra da Freita. This was published by the Arouca Geopark Association with the support of the EDP Foundation.
His photographs illustrate several articles in national magazines, newspapers, books, and catalogs. Among these, the following stand out: “National Geographic Portugal”, “Magazine”, “Parks and Wildlife”, “Diário de Notícias”, “Diário de Aveiro”, “O Ponto”. His images have been used in the creation of content for museums, interpretation centers, museum centers, ecological trails, etc. He has been invited as a speaker to several conferences and lectures on the subject, including being Photographer in Residence at AMBID 2013. He is the author and co-author of several nature photography exhibitions, among which stand out “Fragments of Life”, “Vagos Biodiverse”, “Secrets of Gândara”, “Double Lives” and “The Enchanted Mountain Range”.

Guilherme Limas

Biography – Guilherme Limas is an Amateur Photographer in the true sense of the word, as he uses his free time to record all types of photography, from Nature, Landscape, Sports and People and Customs.

He has already won awards in several national and international competitions, in addition to participating in several collective and individual photography exhibitions. His photographs have been published in several national and international specialized magazines.
He is a founding member of the environmental association Charcos e Companhia in the municipality of Vagos, where he is from.
